In short

To mark the opening of the A65 Pau-Langon motorway in mid December, the Pyrénées-Atlantiques and Hautes-Pyrénées departmental tourist committees introduced a scheme in conjunction with A’liénor, subsidiary of Eiffage and operator of the A65 motorway concession: travellers using the A65 motorway to get to ski resorts are able to claim back €10 per passenger on toll fees when they buy their ski passes, which makes the journey for a car with four passengers practically free. It is estimated that approximately 10,000 ski passes taking advantage of this offer were sold between Christmas and February.
