In short

The scale model of the Millau Viaduct entered the permanent collection of the Museum of French Monuments (“Musée des monuments français - Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine”) on May 16th 2011.

Exhibition at the Palais de Chaillot

To commemorate the event, an exhibition dedicated to this outstanding structure is taking place from May 16th to October 10th 2011, at the Palais de Chaillot, which was itself restored by the company Pradeau & Morin, a subsidiary of the Eiffage Group.

A tourist attraction in its own right

The inclusion of the Millau Viaduct model in the “Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine” museum’s permanent collection is a testimony to the architectural beauty of the work designed by Norman Foster, which has today become a tourist attraction in its own right. In 2010, spaces dedicated to discovering the Millau Viaduct in Millau welcomed 610,000 visitors, 18,000 of whom followed the Eiffage guided tour.
